This board has a ToF (Time of Flight) distance sensor, which precisely determines the distance of the subject with a laser. Way it works: infrared laser emitts a ray towards the object and measures the time it takes to reflect the signal, thus calculating the distance with millimeter precision. It will detect objects from 40mm up to 4000mm (4m) from itself. It communicates via I2C and there are easyC connectors for easy connection.


 


The precision of the sensor is +/- 5mm, and it is really interesting that its measuring angle is extremely small, between 17 ° and 27 °. It can read 50 measurements per second (50Hz). Remember to remove the protective label from the sensor before using it!
