Availability: In stock

The Shunt Resistor is a special type of resistor with small resistance which allows large currents to pass through it. This is useful for measuring the current in a circuit: due to the Ohm's law and voltage drop on the shunt resistor, we can know exactly which current passes through it. For example, for this resistor whose maximum current is 10A, the voltage drop at that current will be exactly 75mV (0.075V). Using a precise ADC, we can accurately measure the current of our consumer or power source.
